It’s time for a short but sweet update on the AFP World Tour Rankings, as with the second stop of the SFR Freestyle Tour having just concluded in Vars, France, and the U.S. Freeskiing Grand Prix Big Air at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts set to go down in a Great Green Monster way on Friday night, we wanted to give you a quick rundown on how the second stop of the Platinum-Level U.S. Grand Prix (Halfpipe) in Park City, Utah and the third stop of the Bronze-Level Nor Freeski Cup (Slopestyle) at Drammen, Norway shook up the rankings…

Let’s begin with Men’s Halfpipe, where Aaron Blunck took the top spot at the U.S. Grand Prix in his biggest and best performance of the season, which has bumped him two spots up into 6th. In second, hot on the heels of his bronze medal performance at X Games, was Ben Valentin, who remains in 4th, while X Games gold medalist Kevin Rolland rounded out the podium in third to retain his spot on top of the rankings.

In Women’s Halfpipe, Maddie Bowman notched another win in her belt (following her four-peat at X Games) at the U.S. Grand Prix, which has nudged her from 4th to 3rd, while Ayana Onozuka’s second place performance keeps her in 1st, and Marie Martinod is up four spots, from 12th to 8th, after taking the third and final step on the podium.

In Men’s Slopestyle, Robert Andre Ruud took top honors across the pond at the Nor Freeski Cup, which has allowed him to ascend from 149th to 114th, Birk Ruud is up a whopping 109 spots into 158th after scoring second, and Ferdinand Dahl has cracked the top 100 by taking third.

And in Women’s Slopestyle, Tora Johansen is up five spots into 47th after claiming victory at the Nor Freeski Cup, second place finisher Marina Johansen is up one into 35th, and Sandra Eie remains in 22nd thanks to her third place performance.
In Men’s Overall, the most significant change to report (aside from the general fluctuations as a result of the 52-week rolling system) is Aaron Blunck moving two spots up the ladder to overtake the second place position from Beau-James Wells (while Gus Kenworthy continues to hold down a commanding lead in 1st), while on the Women’s Overall Rankings, the only change to report in the top 10 is Maddie Bowman moving one spot up into 9th.
